ATTEND a Performance
Amandla performs in a wide variety of settings and configurations. We can appear as a small group performing for grade-schoolers; just a few of us might sing at someone's home, post-surgery; the whole chorus performs in full-length concerts throughout the Pioneer Valley and beyond. Our Annual Spring Concert is a particular delight for us. Our goal is to bring our audience with us on an emotional journey: from boundless excitement to heartrending grief to contemplative stillness and back again to joy. Some Amandla concert-goers have even called the experience spiritual in nature. One thing is for sure—each performance is unique and unforgettable.

"Voices came together and created...harmony, peace, and tranquility that engulfed one's entire being. Amandla moved the group of inmates.
The cliché 'Music soothes the savage beast' becomes a fierce reality when presented by Amandla."
Written by an inmate, Anthony J., following our visit to the Enfield, CT medium-security prison, June 1996.
